More than 150 people came together at Merchants Manor in Falmouth for the 2014 Hub Awards.
TRAC Services director, Sarah Trethowan, was crowned Cornish Business Leader of the Year. Together with her husband, Jonathan, Sarah Trethowan has built a global business from nothing to a company which employs 20 people with year-on-year significant financial growth.
Fugro Seacore was named Cornish Business of the Year, while the Best New Business accolade went to graduate designer Alison Ballard and her vintage clothing fashion brand, Silly Old Sea Dog.
The Best Use of Digital award went to mutusystem.com, the industry-acclaimed and medically endorsed postnatal exercise and recovery programme founded by Wendy Powell in 2010.
This year’s Employee of the Year title was awarded to Lee Martin from Probus-based Piran Fire and Security, while the Creative Project of the Year gong was handed to Tevy and Sams Cornwall: Carlyon Bay.
The Hub committee also handed out a special award for The Hub Contributor of the Year to David McGuire of Lungfish.
